We are Christa and Nathan Rolls, partners in life and business specializing in bird ecology, wildlife ethics, and wildlife photography. Our goal is to bring our wild adventures and experiences to you through our travels, blog, photos, and videos. In turn, we hope to inspire you to travel to see what this wild world (including your backyard) has to offer!
We’ve lived all over the U.S. and in various parts of the world. We just recently moved from Germany back to the U.S., just outside Sacramento, California.

Avian Ecologist & Conservation Biologist
Christa loves to go birding, hiking, and traveling to see what this wild world has to offer. Her passion has always been to study wildlife and find ways to meld wildlife conservation and preservation with human activities and actions. She also has a special affinity for wine, coffee, cats, and maps.
Nathan Rolls
Wildlife Photographer & Videographer
Nathan has had a passion for watching wildlife and photographing nature since a young age. That passion has evolved into creating wildlife films, and teaching others about photographing wildlife. He loves all creatures great and small and aims to showcase just how special each is.
